Description
Single component , permanently elastic and neutral-curing silicone for applications in temperature-stressed areas, ready for use in the automatic can. The silicone sealing grey is an alternative to conventional solid gaskets. Remains elastic, dimensionally stable and permanently seals off. It bridges differently sized sealing gaps and is resistant to water, salt water, oil, grease, detergent, hydrocarbon, diluted acids and alkalis, and many other chemicals. In addition, it is non-fading , UV-resistant, climate resistant and solvent-free.
Application area
Metals (aluminum, cast iron, steel, etc.), plastics, glass, ceramic and wood seals, e.g. oil pans, valve cover, water and oil pumps, spur gear cover, differential seals, battery boxes, headlights, tail lights, protective housing, thermostat housing, transmission oil pans, gear housing, timing cover, drive Sachs covers, etc. Universal application: engines and body construction, heating and plant construction, air conditioning and much more.
Temperature resistant: -58 °F to 500 °F (short term 572 °C)
Application nodes
The sealing surfaces must be clean, dust -, oil – and grease-free. Old sealants must be removed. Apply the desired thickness and assemble the parts to be processed.
